Sherpani Col Trekking

Makalu Base Camp & the technical Sherpani Col

The journey begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar and a drive to Chichila. The trail continues through Num, Seduwa and Tashigaon, the last permanent settlement before entering the high and isolated mountain wilderness.

Acclimatization at Tashigaon prepares the body for the climb through Khongma and Dobato. The route then enters the upper Barun Valley through Yangle Kharka before reaching Makalu Base Camp for another essential acclimatization day.

Beyond Makalu Base Camp, the trail climbs to Sherpani Col Base Camp. The technical pass crossing leads to West Col Camp before the route descends through Langmale Kharka and Yangri, returning through Tashigaon, Seduwa and Num to Tumlingtar.
