Key Features

Mount Manaslu 8th Highest Peak

The Manaslu region is dominated by Mount Manaslu, the eighth-highest mountain in the world at 8,163 meters. The trekking routes offer spectacular views of Manaslu and the surrounding Himalayan ranges while taking you through one of Nepal's most remote mountain landscapes.

Larkya La High Mountain Pass

Crossing Larkya La is one of the great highlights of the Manaslu Circuit. At around 5,106 meters, the pass provides dramatic panoramic views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru and Annapurna II.

Remote Himalayan Landscapes

Manaslu offers a quieter alternative to Nepal's more established trekking regions. The trails pass through dramatic valleys, mountain forests, high alpine landscapes and traditional villages, creating a genuine sense of wilderness and adventure.

Ancient Monasteries

Ancient monasteries, mani walls and chortens are found throughout the trekking routes. Places such as Pungyen Gompa provide a glimpse into the region's deep Tibetan Buddhist heritage and spiritual traditions.

Teahouse Trekking

Although the Manaslu region feels remote and wild, teahouses along the route provide basic accommodation for trekkers. This allows visitors to experience the wilderness without relying entirely on camping.

Tibetan Mountain Culture

The upper Manaslu valleys reflect a strong Tibetan cultural influence. Traditional villages, Buddhist monuments and mountain communities create a distinctive cultural experience alongside the dramatic Himalayan scenery.
