More Than a Journey Through the Mountains
Trek & Beyond Nepal is a locally founded trekking, mountaineering and Himalayan experience company. We bring together more than 25 years of mountain knowledge, professional guiding and a lifelong connection with the people and landscapes of Nepal.
Founded by passionately driven Hyolmo Indigenous youths, our story grew from firsthand experience of life in the Himalayas. Our team is led by licensed mountain and trekking professionals who understand the trails, cultures, challenges and responsibilities of travelling in the mountains.

OUR STORY
A Life Shaped by the Himalayas
At the heart of Trek & Beyond is Mr. Sonam Lama, a professional licensed Mountain and Trekking Guide from Helambu. He began his journey as a porter and, through perseverance, field experience and years of learning, earned his professional trekking and mountain guide licences.
With 25 years of experience, he has guided clients on almost all of Nepal's 8,000-metre mountains. He also completed the Great Himalayan Trail in 2018 and again in 2022. His journey reflects the values that guide our company: humility, endurance, responsibility and respect for the mountains.
