26-Day Itinerary
Follow the journey from Kathmandu to Ama Dablam Base Camp, the summit climbing period and the return journey.
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. You will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Spend the evening preparing for the expedition and enjoy a welcome dinner with a briefing on the journey ahead.
Explore Kathmandu's historic and cultural sites, including Swayambhunath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple. In the afternoon, attend a detailed expedition briefing and finalize preparations for the trek.
Fly to Lukla and begin your trek to Phakding. The flight offers spectacular views of the Himalayas. The trek to Phakding takes around 3–4 hours through scenic landscapes and local villages.
Continue your trek to Namche Bazaar, the main trading hub of the Khumbu region. The trek is approximately 6–7 hours and involves a significant ascent, offering stunning views of Everest and other peaks.
Spend the day acclimatizing in Namche Bazaar. You can explore the town, visit the local markets, and take a short hike to Everest Viewpoint for magnificent views of Everest and Lhotse.
Begin your trek to Tengboche, renowned for its monastery and breathtaking mountain views. The trek takes about 5–6 hours and includes a descent through lush forests followed by an ascent to Tengboche.
Trek to Dingboche, a beautiful village located in the Imja Valley. The trek takes approximately 5–6 hours, offering views of Ama Dablam and other peaks. This day helps with acclimatization to the higher altitude.
Another acclimatization day in Dingboche. Explore the village or take a hike to a higher altitude to help your body adjust to the thin air. Enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Today's trek takes you to Ama Dablam Base Camp, situated at an altitude of 4,600 meters. The trek takes about 5–6 hours and offers spectacular views of Ama Dablam, the “Matterhorn of the Himalayas.”
Spend the next 12 days acclimatizing and preparing for the summit. This includes ascending and descending from high camps, conducting practice climbs, and resting.
The main climbing period involves ascending to Camp 1, Camp 2, and then pushing for the summit, depending on weather conditions and team acclimatization.
Descend back to Base Camp after the summit attempt. This day is used to rest and recuperate after the demanding climb.
Trek back to Namche Bazaar, retracing your steps through the Khumbu Valley. The descent takes about 6–7 hours, providing a chance to enjoy the views one last time.
Continue your trek to Lukla, completing your journey through the Khumbu region. The trek takes about 6–7 hours, and you’ll have time to relax and celebrate your achievement in Lukla.
Fly from Lukla back to Kathmandu. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying a celebratory dinner in Kathmandu.
Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure flight. Your expedition concludes as you head home with unforgettable memories of Ama Dablam.
REQUIREMENTS
High-Altitude Climbing Experience
Prospective participants must have prior experience in high-altitude climbing, having successfully summited peaks above 6,000 meters (19,685 feet). This experience is essential for acclimatization, understanding the effects of altitude, and developing the necessary skills for an ascent of Mount Everest.
Technical Climbing Skills
Proficiency in technical climbing skills, including the use of crampons, ice axes, fixed ropes, and other mountaineering equipment, is mandatory. Everest presents challenging sections that require a strong foundation in both basic and advanced climbing techniques.
Physical Fitness
Excellent physical fitness is a prerequisite for Everest expeditions. Participants should engage in a comprehensive training program focused on cardiovascular fitness, strength training, and endurance to withstand the demands of prolonged climbing at high altitudes.
