ITINERARY & MAP
SHERPANI COL TREK ITINERARY
Day 1:
Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. After transfer to your hotel, settle in and relax. Attend a trek briefing in the afternoon where you’ll receive a detailed overview of the trek and have your gear checked.
Day 2:
Kathmandu Exploration and Preparation
Enjoy a free day in Kathmandu to explore the city. Optionally, take a guided tour of historic and cultural sites such as Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) or Durbar Square. Use this day to finalize trek preparations and rest.
Day 3:
Kathmandu to Tumlingtar
Take a morning flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar, a gateway town to the trek. Upon arrival, explore Tumlingtar and get ready for the trekking days ahead. Overnight stay in Tumlingtar.
Day 4:
Tumlingtar to Chichila
Drive from Tumlingtar to Chichila, which takes approximately 6-7 hours. The journey offers picturesque views of the hilly landscape. Arrive in Chichila and prepare for the trek ahead.
Day 5:
Chichila to Num
Begin your trek from Chichila to Num, a journey of about 6-7 hours. This segment takes you through terraced fields and dense forests, providing a glimpse into local village life. Overnight stay in Num.
Day 6:
Num to Seduwa
Continue your trek from Num to Seduwa, covering approximately 6 hours. This day involves descending through lush forested areas and experiencing the traditional Sherpa culture in Seduwa.
Day 7:
Seduwa to Tashigaon
Trek from Seduwa to Tashigaon, which takes around 6-7 hours. As you ascend, enjoy stunning views and the local Sherpa community. Tashigaon offers an opportunity to acclimatize and experience high-altitude village life.
Day 8:
Acclimatization Day at Tashigaon
Spend a day at Tashigaon to acclimatize to the altitude. You can take a short, optional hike around the area to help your body adjust to the higher elevation.
Day 9:
Tashigaon to Khongma
Trek from Tashigaon to Khongma, a journey of about 6 hours. The trail takes you through high-altitude meadows and offers spectacular views of the surrounding peaks.
Day 10:
Khongma to Dobato
Continue the trek from Khongma to Dobato, which takes approximately 6 hours. Enjoy the panoramic mountain views and the rewarding experience of trekking through varied terrain.
Day 11:
Dobato to Yangle Kharka
Trek from Dobato to Yangle Kharka, covering around 5-6 hours. This leg of the trek features diverse landscapes, from alpine meadows to rugged terrain.
Day 12:
Yangle Kharka to Makalu Base Camp
Hike from Yangle Kharka to Makalu Base Camp, a trek of about 6-7 hours. Upon reaching the base camp, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of Makalu and the surrounding peaks.
Day 13:
Acclimatization Day at Makalu Base Camp
Take a rest day at Makalu Base Camp to acclimatize further. Explore the base camp area, enjoy the stunning vistas, and prepare for the challenging pass ahead.
Day 14:
Makalu Base Camp to Sherpani Col Base Camp
Trek to Sherpani Col Base Camp, which takes approximately 5-6 hours. Set up camp and prepare for the crossing of the Sherpani Col.
Day 15:
Cross Sherpani Col and Descend to West Col Camp
Cross the Sherpani Col, a high-altitude pass that can take 6-8 hours, depending on conditions. After crossing, descend to West Col Camp for an overnight stay.
Day 16:
West Col Camp to Langmale Kharka
Trek from West Col Camp to Langmale Kharka, which takes about 6-7 hours. This segment involves descending through diverse landscapes and enjoying the tranquil environment.
Day 17:
Langmale Kharka to Yangri
Continue from Langmale Kharka to Yangri, a trek of around 6 hours. Experience local village life and the beauty of the surrounding landscapes.

Yangri to Tashigaon
Retrace your steps from Yangri back to Tashigaon, a journey of about 6 hours. Rest and reflect on your trek.

Tashigaon to Seduwa
Trek from Tashigaon to Seduwa, covering approximately 6 hours. Enjoy the familiar terrain and prepare for the final leg of the trek.
Day 20:
Seduwa to Num
Complete your trek from Seduwa to Num, which takes about 6 hours. Relax and reflect on your adventure.
Day 21:
Num to Tumlingtar
Drive back to Tumlingtar from Num, a journey of approximately 7 hours. Relax and prepare for your return to Kathmandu.
Day 22:
Tumlingtar to Kathmandu
Fly from Tumlingtar back to Kathmandu. Spend the day relaxing or exploring the city as you wind down from your trek.
Day 23:
Departure from Kathmandu
Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure flight, concluding your Sherpani Col adventure.
