MANASLU CIRCUIT TREK WITH TSUM VALLEY ITINERARY
Day 1:
Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. Use the day to rest and prepare for the trek. You may also explore some local attractions or finalize trek arrangements.
Day 2:
Public Bus from Kathmandu to Machha Khola
Take a public bus or private vehicle from Kathmandu to Machha Khola, a scenic journey that takes approximately 8-10 hours. Enjoy the drive through the countryside and get ready for the trek ahead.
Day 3:
Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat
Begin your trek from Machha Khola to Jagat. The route takes you through terraced fields, small villages, and lush landscapes. The trek lasts around 6-7 hours, ending in the village of Jagat where you’ll stay overnight.
Day 4:
Trek from Jagat to Lokpa
Continue your trek from Jagat to Lokpa, entering the Manaslu Conservation Area. This part of the trek takes about 6-7 hours and offers beautiful views of the surrounding scenery and traditional villages.
Day 5:
Trek from Lokpa to Chumling
Trek through lush landscapes to Chumling, a charming village in the Tsum Valley, which takes around 5-6 hours.
Day 6:
Trek from Chumling to Rachen Gompa
Proceed from Chumling to Rachen Gompa, an important Buddhist monastery in the Tsum Valley. The trek takes approximately 5-6 hours. Spend time exploring the monastery and learning about local spiritual practices.
Day 7:
Trek from Rachen Gompa to Nile up to Mu Gumpa
Travel from Rachen Gompa to the village of Nile and continue to Mu Gumpa, reaching high altitudes and enjoying spectacular views. This trek, taking about 6-7 hours, offers a profound experience of the high-altitude environment.
Day 8:
Trek from Mu Gumpa to Chumling
Return from Mu Gumpa to Chumling, retracing your steps. This trek takes around 6-7 hours and provides a chance to reflect on your experiences in the high-altitude areas.
Day 9:
Trek from Chumling to Deng
From Chumling, trek to Deng, a journey that takes approximately 6-7 hours. Enjoy the changing landscapes and the cultural diversity along the way.
Day 10:
Trek from Deng to Namrung
Continue from Deng to Namrung. This trek, lasting about 6-7 hours, leads you through picturesque villages and offers stunning views of the Manaslu range.
Day 11:
Trek from Namrung to Lho
Trek from Namrung to Lho, a village with magnificent mountain views. This leg of the journey takes about 5-6 hours and offers a great opportunity to appreciate the majestic peaks.
Day 12:
Trek from Lho to Samagaon
Travel from Lho to Samagaon, a larger village and an important stop for acclimatization. This trek takes around 6-7 hours and provides a chance to explore local culture and prepare for higher altitudes.
Day 13:
Trek from Samagaon to Samdo
Trek from Samagaon to Samdo, close to the Tibetan border. This part of the trek takes about 4-5 hours and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Day 14:
Acclimatization Day at Samdo
Take a rest day in Samdo to acclimatize to the altitude. Explore the area around Samdo, take short hikes, and enjoy the serene environment.
Day 15:
Trek from Samdo to Larkya Phedi
Move from Samdo to Larkya Phedi, the base camp for crossing Larkya La Pass. This trek takes about 4-5 hours, and you’ll prepare for the high-altitude crossing the following day.
Day 16:
Trek from Larkya Phedi to Bimtang by Crossing Larkya La Pass
Cross the Larkya La Pass (5,160 meters) and descend to Bimtang. This challenging trek, which takes approximately 8-9 hours, offers breathtaking views and a sense of accomplishment.
Day 17:
Trek from Bimtang to Dharapani
From Bimtang, trek to Dharapani, passing through various villages and experiencing different landscapes. This trek lasts around 7-8 hours.
Day 18:
Drive Back to Kathmandu via Besi Sahar from Dharapani
Drive from Dharapani to Besi Sahar and then continue to Kathmandu. The drive takes about 8-10 hours. Once in Kathmandu, enjoy some relaxation and explore the city if time allows.
Day 19:
Final Departure or Onward for Next Destination
