GHOREPANI POONHILL TREK ITINERARY

Day 1:

Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal. Transfer to your hotel and spend the day acclimating to the altitude and exploring the city’s rich cultural heritage. You might visit landmarks like Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) or Durbar Square, and prepare for the trek ahead.

Day 2:

Kathmandu to Pokhara

Travel to Pokhara, a scenic city known for its beautiful lakes and mountain views. Choose between a 6-hour drive through picturesque landscapes or a 30-minute flight. Once in Pokhara, relax by Phewa Lake or take a stroll around the lakeside area to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.

Day 3:

Pokhara to Ulleri to Ghorepani

Drive to Ulleri (approximately 1.5 hours), and begin your trek to Ghorepani. The trek takes around 4-5 hours, passing through terraced fields and charming villages. Arrive in Ghorepani and check into a local teahouse, where you can rest and enjoy the stunning mountain views.

Day 4:

Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani

Rise early and hike to Poon Hill (3,210 meters) to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After soaking in the views, return to Ghorepani for breakfast and then trek to Tadapani (approximately 5-6 hours). Enjoy the diverse landscapes and beautiful vistas along the way.

Day 5:

Tadapani to Ghandruk

Embark on a trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk, a village known for its rich cultural heritage and stunning scenery. The trek takes about 4-5 hours and leads you through lush forests and terraced fields. In Ghandruk, explore the traditional village and experience local culture.

Day 6:

Ghandruk to Pokhara

After breakfast, trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul (approximately 4-5 hours), then drive back to Pokhara. Enjoy a relaxing evening in Pokhara, where you can explore the city, shop for souvenirs, or simply unwind by the lake.

Day 7:

Pokhara to Kathmandu

Travel back to Kathmandu either by a 6-hour drive or a 30-minute flight. Once in Kathmandu, you’ll have time for last-minute sightseeing, shopping, or relaxation before your departure. Explore any remaining attractions or enjoy a farewell dinner.

Day 8:

Departure from Kathmandu

Prepare for your departure and transfer to the airport for your flight home. If time permits, you might squeeze in some final sightseeing or shopping before heading to the airport.
