1. Standard Lobuche Peak Expedition Package

• Price Range: USD 2,500 - 3,500 per person


• Inclusions:

o Professional Sherpa guides with Lobuche peak climbing experience
o Trekking and climbing permits (Lobuche Peak and Sagarmatha National Park fees)
o Base Camp and High Camp accommodations (tents, meals, etc.)
o Expedition gear transport to and from Base Camp

ITINERARY & PLAN DETAILS 

LABUCHE PEAK ITINERARY

Day 1:

Arrival in Kathmandu

Activities: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 meters / 4,593 feet). Transfer to hotel. Briefing and preparation for the trek. Overnight: Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2:

Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla & Trek to Phakding

Flight: Kathmandu to Lukla (2,860 meters / 9,383 feet). Trek: Lukla to Phakding (2,610 meters / 8,562 feet), around 3-4 hours. Overnight: Teahouse in Phakding.

Day 3:

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar

Trek: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 meters / 11,286 feet), around 5-6 hours. Activities: Acclimatization, explore local markets. Overnight: Teahouse in Namche Bazaar.

Day 4:

Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

Activities: Hike to Everest View Hotel (3,880 meters / 12,730 feet) or explore Khumjung village. Overnight: Teahouse in Namche Bazaar.

Day 5:

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

Trek: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,860 meters / 12,664 feet), around 5-6 hours. Activities: Visit Tengboche Monastery. Overnight: Teahouse in Tengboche.

Day 6:

Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche

Trek: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410 meters / 14,469 feet), around 5-6 hours. Overnight: Teahouse in Dingboche.

Day 7:

Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

Activities: Optional hike to Nagarjun Hill (5,100 meters / 16,732 feet) for acclimatization. Overnight: Teahouse in Dingboche.

Day 8:

Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche

Trek: Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910 meters / 16,108 feet), around 5-6 hours. Overnight: Teahouse in Lobuche.

Day 9:

Trek from Lobuche to Labuche Base Camp

Trek: Lobuche to Labuche Base Camp (4,950 meters / 16,240 feet), around 4-5 hours. Activities: Preparation and training for the summit. Overnight: Tented camp at Base Camp.

Day 10:

Summit Attempt of Labuche Peak and Return to Base Camp Summit Day: Early morning ascent of Labuche East (6,119 meters / 20,075 feet). Activities: Enjoy the summit views of Everest, Lhotse, and other peaks, then descend back to Base Camp. Overnight: Tented camp at Base Camp.

Day 11

:

Contingency Day

Purpose: Extra day in case of bad weather or other delays. Overnight: Tented camp or teahouse.

Day 12:

Trek from Labuche Base Camp to Pangboche Trek: Return trek from Labuche Base Camp to Pangboche (3,985 meters / 13,074 feet), around 6-7 hours. Overnight: Teahouse in Pangboche.

Day 13

:

Trek from Pangboche to Namche Bazaar

Trek: Pangboche to Namche Bazaar, around 5-6 hours. Overnight: Teahouse in Namche Bazaar.

Day 14:

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla

Trek: Namche Bazaar to Lukla, around 6-7 hours. Overnight: Teahouse in Lukla.

Day 15:

Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

Flight: Return flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Activities: Rest and explore Kathmandu. Overnight: Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 16:

Departure

Activities: Final departure from Kathmandu. Transfer to airport. This itinerary allows for acclimatization and takes into account the physical demands of the trek and climb. Depending on the group's experience and fitness level, it may be adjusted.

REQUIREMENTS

Mountaineering Skills:

Basic Climbing Techniques: Familiarity with the use of climbing equipment such as crampons, ice axes, harnesses, and ropes is essential. You should know how to walk on snow and ice, and be comfortable with techniques like using fixed lines, jumar ascending, and abseiling. Glacier Travel: Understanding glacier travel, including crevasse rescue techniques, can be an advantage.

Experience:

Previous Trekking Experience: Experience in multi-day trekking, especially at high altitudes, is strongly recommended. Prior trekking in the Himalayas or similar environments is beneficial. Climbing Experience: Although Labuche Peak is considered a "trekking peak," it’s more technical than others in the region. Previous climbing experience, even on non-technical peaks, is a plus.

Physical Fitness:

Stamina and Endurance: You should be in excellent physical condition, as the trek and climb involve long days of hiking at high altitudes. Cardiovascular fitness, strength, and stamina are crucial. Training: It is recommended to undertake a fitness regimen that includes cardiovascular exercises (running, cycling, swimming), strength training (especially for the legs and core), and endurance activities (hiking with a backpack). Acclimatization: Previous experience at high altitudes (above 4,000 meters / 13,123 feet) is highly beneficial. The itinerary includes acclimatization days, but being accustomed to altitude can significantly enhance your experience.
