ANNAPURNA REGION OVERVIEW

Rich Cultural Experience

Annapurna Conservation Area
Established in 1986, the Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA) is Nepal’s largest protected area, covering over 7,600 square kilometers. The conservation area plays a crucial role in preserving the region’s biodiversity and promoting sustainable tourism.
Iconic Treks
The Annapurna Circuit is one of the most famous trekking routes in the world, taking trekkers through a variety of landscapes, crossing the Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters (17,769 feet). The Annapurna Base Camp Trek, on the other hand, offers a shorter but equally rewarding experience, leading to the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary, surrounded by towering peaks.
