ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT TREK ITINERARY

Day 1:

Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu, the bustling capital of Nepal. Transfer to your hotel and take the day to relax and acclimate to the time zone. If you have time, explore the city’s cultural highlights such as Kathmandu Durbar Square or Swayambhunath Stupa.

Day 2:

Drive from Kathmandu to Bulbule

Take a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Bulbule, which takes approximately 7-9 hours. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you travel through picturesque villages and terraced fields. Overnight in Bulbule.

Day 3:

Trek from Bulbule to Chamje

Begin your trek from Bulbule to Chamje, a journey of about 5-6 hours. The trail ascends through lush forests and traditional villages. Arrive in Chamje and stay overnight in a local teahouse.

Day 4:

Trek from Chamje to Bagarchhap

Trek from Chamje to Bagarchhap, covering approximately 5-6 hours. Experience the diverse landscapes as you move from lower altitudes to higher elevations. Bagarchhap offers beautiful views and a glimpse into the local culture. Overnight in Bagarchhap.

Day 5:

Trek from Bagarchhap to Chame

Continue your trek from Bagarchhap to Chame, which takes about 5-6 hours. Chame is the administrative center of the Manang District and provides stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Overnight in Chame.

Day 6:

Trek from Chame to Pisang

Trek from Chame to Pisang, a journey of approximately 5-6 hours. The trail offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna range and the unique architecture of Pisang. Spend the night in Pisang.

Day 7:

Trek from Pisang to Manang

Continue your trek from Pisang to Manang, which takes around 5-6 hours. Manang is a high-altitude village where you’ll have the opportunity to acclimate and explore the local area. Overnight in Manang.

Day 8:

Acclimatization Day in Manang

Take a rest day in Manang to acclimate to the higher altitude. Explore the village, visit local monasteries, or take a short hike to aid acclimatization and prepare for the upcoming high-altitude trek.

Day 9:

Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka

Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka, a journey of about 4-5 hours. As you ascend, the landscape becomes more rugged and high-altitude. Overnight in Yak Kharka.

Day 10:

Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi

Continue your trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi, taking approximately 4-5 hours. Thorong Phedi is the base for the ascent to Thorong La Pass. Overnight in Thorong Phedi.

Day 11:

Trek from Thorong Phedi via Thorong La Pass (5,416m) to Muktinath

Start early and trek from Thorong Phedi over Thorong La Pass, the highest point of the trek at 5,416 meters. The crossing takes about 7-9 hours and offers spectacular views. Descend to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site, and overnight there.

Day 12:

Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom via Kagbeni

Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom, passing through Kagbeni, a historic village. The trek takes approximately 5-6 hours. Jomsom, the administrative center of Mustang, provides various amenities. Overnight in Jomsom.

Day 13:

Drive from Jomsom to Tatopani

Take a drive from Jomsom to Tatopani, a journey of about 5-6 hours. Tatopani is known for its natural hot springs, providing a relaxing end to your day. Enjoy a soak in the hot springs and spend the night in Tatopani.

Day 14:

Trek from Tatopani to Ghorepani

Trek from Tatopani to Ghorepani, which takes around 7-9 hours. The trail ascends through beautiful rhododendron forests and offers stunning mountain views. Overnight in Ghorepani.

Day 15:

Hike up to Poon Hill, Trek Down to Nayapul, and Drive to Pokhara

Early in the morning, hike up to Poon Hill to catch the sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Afterward, trek down to Nayapul and take a drive to Pokhara, which takes around 6-7 hours. Relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of Pokhara’s lakeside area.

Day 16:

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

Travel back to Kathmandu by either a 6-7 hour drive or a short flight. Spend the evening exploring the city, shopping, or relaxing.

Day 17:

International Departure from Kathmandu Airport

Prepare for your departure and transfer to the airport for your flight home. If time allows, enjoy some final sightseeing or shopping in Kathmandu before heading to the airport.
